Greetings and welcome back to the renaissance reflection of the day. It's always a pleasure to have you here with us and I hope this message impacts you in a positive way. The RFP quote of the day is brought to you by none other than Judas X, and the quote states proximity to excellence is imperative because we tend to replicate what we're exposed to most of the time. Listen, I love this quote so much I had to put it on a shirt. The RFP Merge collection is coming soon, so definitely do look out for that.

Negativity, mediocrity and stagnancy are very contagious, and the ironic thing about the feeling of stagnancy is that it's actually impossible. Nothing in life stands still. It's either moving forward or it's moving backwards. There's no in-between. That's physics, and the opposite is also true. Positivity, excellence and motion are also very contagious, so your choice of environment is one of the most impactful decisions that you will ever make in this lifetime. They often say that you are the combination of the five people that you spend the most time with, so take a second and think about your five people and determine which side of the fence that you are on. Whether or not you make this decision consciously is a whole other conversation, but the most important question for right now is are you around people that add fuel to your fire or are you around people that try to out your flame? Are you in spaces where you're celebrated or are you in spaces where you're tolerated? Although the difference is subtle, to say that the impact on your life is considerable would be a gross understatement. So it's definitely something for you to keep in mind. Like I said earlier, negativity and mediocrity are very contagious and if you're not careful you can get infected. You can say it's like COVID, but it'll spread fast. But don't take my word for it. Let's hear what the experts say.

Nature versus nurture. This is a philosophical debate centered around the relative influence of genetics and environment on traits, development and human behavior. Now focusing the analytical lens on the nurture aspect, the argument states that environmental factors such as upbringing, culture, education and experience plays an instrumental role in shaping an individual's characteristics, behavior and psychological traits. Now I can take it one step further and highlight five key points to support this argument. Number one environmental influence Advocates for the nature aspect of the argument emphasizes that experience and surroundings have a significant impact on your developmental factors as a person. Number two learning and adaptation on your developmental factors as a person. Number two learning and adaptation. Theories such as behaviorism highlights how individuals learn behaviors through conditioning and reinforcement from their environment. This definitely supports the idea that behavior can be changed through experiences, and that is why exposure is extremely important.

Number three socialization. This is something I know you learn in social studies. Social interactions and relationships are critical in shaping an individual's values, beliefs and social behaviors. The family, the peers and community play a pivotal role in this process. Number four developmental psychology space demonstrates how environmental factors such as parenting style and educational opportunities influence cognitive and emotional development throughout a person's life. And number 5 Plasticity. The concept of neuroplasticity supports the idea that the brain has the capacity to change and adapt based on experiences, which further emphasizes the importance of nature in shaping a human's behavior and abilities. But the synopsis of everything that I just said is just to emphasize that you should watch the company you keep, because the effects run a lot deeper than most people think and, as the old people say, you're known by the company you keep. But that's all that I have for you today. Until next time I'll see you on the next one. Continue elevating. Now we're older here.
